Ash Wednesday...let the conversion begin
Ash Wednesday Masses: 6:30 am; 8:15 am; 5:30 pm
Today (Ash Wednesday) marks the beginning of our Lenten Season. As we mentioned this past Sunday at Mass ~ look for something "CHALLENGING" to do in each of the 3 Pillars of our Spiritual Life: Prayer, Penance and Acts of Charity (Alms Giving).
In the area of "penance" ( which is typically what most people focus on during Lent) what is there that
1.) I really like,
2.) think I can't live w/o or
3.) have to have to start my day off on the right foot? Whatever "THAT" is ~ that is what I should give up or limit during this Lenten season...
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Fr. A. Dudzinski
'When you give alms do not act like the hypocrites... when you pray do not act like the hypocrites...When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites...& your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you.' (Mt. 6:1-6, 16-18)
